COVID-19: Postponing Intertool 2020

The effects of the corona virus (COVID-19) are currently a particularly challenging situation for the entire exhibitions and event industry. In view of the latest developments, the Austrian Federal Government presented a package of measures on March 10, 2020, which also includes the ban on events. All outdoor events with over 500 participants and all indoor events with over 100 participants are prohibited until early April 2020.

Together with the advisory board, we agreed that instead of the planned Intertool appointment (May 12th to 15th, 2020) there will be an industry event in autumn 2020 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Intertool. A shift to spring 2021 is not possible due to scheduling reasons and due to the booking situation in the event venues in Austria that are eligible for this event. In the coming days, we will coordinate the next steps with other players in the industry and will send you the next information. With the Smart advisory board, we made the decision not to implement this year's edition of the Vienna Smart Automation as planned. There is no alternative date because the Smart will take place in Linz in spring 2021.

We know that this decision has an impact on your annual planning, but we believe that it was right and important to make in the interests of all concerned.

Thank you for your understanding and support in these unprecedentedly challenging times. The entire Reed-team is now ready to answer any
of your queries as quickly as possible.

Yours sincerely,
